How should football boots fit?

They should feel snug but not tight, especially around the heel and midfoot, with just enough space at the toes. A good fit helps improve touch, control, and speed — while reducing the risk of blisters or slipping inside the boot.

Do football boots stretch?

Synthetic boots usually don’t stretch much, so getting the right size is important. Leather boots will mould to your foot slightly over time — but they shouldn’t feel uncomfortably tight to begin with.

What’s the difference between FG, SG, and AG football boots?

FG (Firm Ground): Best for dry natural grass pitches — the most common stud type.

SG (Soft Ground): Designed for muddy or wet grass pitches — usually have metal screw-in studs for extra grip.

AG (Artificial Ground): Made for 3G or 4G synthetic pitches — shorter, more numerous studs to reduce pressure and improve traction.
